Technical Issue

Consolidate the PSHA Updating methodology and illustrate benefits by application to French PSHA.

Proposed Approach

Bayesian updating of PSHA branch weights using instrumental (Humbert et al 2008) and historical (Viallet et al 2017) data for French PSHA based on the GEOTER 2017 study.

Points to be addressed

• Choice of representative data, correlations
• Assess robustness of methodology and perform sensitivity analysis
• Assess performance through simulated examples
• Application to French national PSHA
